- Dear Damien, It was my wife’s Birthday on the 4th of August 2007 so as a surprise I had organized a balloon trip on the 5th of August 2007, I would like to thank your company for a wonderful experience. My wife was not so keen on the idea but after Gren’s briefing and reassurance throughout the trip she was relaxed and really enjoyed the flight. As a Safety Professional, I would like to take the time to say that I was impressed with the high safety standards your company has. The first briefing was excellent and gave us an insight of how things worked. Safety was further demonstrated when we arrived at our launching location and Gren Putland gave us another briefing as well as explaining the setup process. All safety aspects were highlighted to us before, during and after the flight.I personally would like to thank Gren Putland our pilot for the flight. He went out of his way to ensure our flight was one to remember. He also has a good sense of humour to go with it, which made the flight even more enjoyable. The breakfast after the flight was a treat and it was great to share other people’s excitement of the morning’s event. I have circulated my photos of the trip world wide to my friends and I have no doubt I will be back again. I know two friends that will be seeing you soon to experience the excitement my wife and I had the pleasure of being a part of, Kevin.

- Dear Damien, Heather, Joanne thank you for the most amazing experience last wednesday..... I was rapt with my flight with Windward and the whole "adventure"! I realize it may have been "luck of the draw" but thank you also for allowing me to be at the end of the basket as it gave me such a great opportunity to get some really amazing photos...... being an avid photographer (tho' not necessarily a great one!) it meant a lot to me. I am sending you this picture, which I found to be rather wonderful - guess it sums up the surreal quality of those early mornings above the ground....call it "just another sunrise .... " ha ha....
Please feel free to use it if you think it is good enough....though I will send a full size version of it on disk to you, for better print quality.

- Thank you for your e-news, good reading. Also this gives me the opportunity to thank you all at Windward Ballooning for a most memoriable experience. The weather was perfect, the crew and staff were very friendly and courteous and the flight was just magic. We have some wonderful photos and the skill of Damien to bring the basket down to the water and up again was really a credit to him. We witnessed a young couple get engaged on board, the ring and all!!! That made it even more special for them. It was most certainly the most memorable part of our trip to WA. - Dear Heather, My Husband, Bill, mum Phyllis and daughter Amanda have not stopped talking about their balloon flight on 20 October, 2007. Bill in particular - he was so impressed by the professionalism and organisation displayed by Damien, the pilot of the green balloon (sorry I don’t know his name but he comes from the Eastern States) and other members of your support staff, considering the early hour of the morning – offers of coffee, ensuring people went to the bathroom - amazing. He uses expressions like “over the moon” “beyond the call of duty” “out of this world”. Would you please relay my email to the appropriate people. I myself did not fly but was also suitably impressed by the organization. I think I was just as excited as the ballooners, Sandy.

- Hi Heather, I did send you a couple of pictures and a big thank you email last week through your internet site info at Windward, Did you not receive it ? Any way it was magnificent day and a memory that will last a life time for us :-) It was a lovley scene and a very emotional journey for us we had tears which was cute and we had laughs, As I promised to surrender the remote control to Roy when ever he is home, which gave the other guest on the balloon a bit of a laugh Not to mention I told Roy may all our up's and Downs only ever come in the Bedroom. I said in the previous email that your service and professionalism was outstanding and we would most certainly and have done already told a lot of our friends about Windward Balloons. - Dear Heather, Just wanted to say what a marvellous time Chris and I had last Thursday morning on our balloon trip. The whole experience was simply not to be missed. I must admit we were rather apprehensive beforehand but that feeling soon disappeared. The breakfast afterwards at Fitzgerald's was the icing on the cake. It was truly a stunning experience, also very interesting, learning and helping with the inflation of the balloon, and afterwards seeing how it is deflated, then packed. The in-flight service was excellent and getting involved with packing up Rainbow Drifter II after landing made the experience all the more delightful. - Dear Heather, Thank you for a truly wonderful experience yesterday, Sunday 19th. Both my wife and I enjoyed our flight made even more memorable by the adroitness of Damien throughout the journey. - Dear Damien and the Windward Team, A belated, but very sincere thanks for a fantastic adventure in the Rainbow balloon on Saturday 4 August 2007, It was my third attempt to fly and obviously you'd saved the best for last. What a fabulous day and the mist just added to the adventure. To be able to watch some of the Avon Descent competitors and then fly over the Northam countryside (didn't know Northam could look so pretty!) was truly a most wonderful experience. It was such a top day (100 / 100) that I doubt you could repeat it!! It was a pleasure to see how you all worked so well as a team and how conscientious you were of our safety. I've returned back in Singapore now and would like to just express my appreciation to you and your team. The balloon ride had been a wonderful experience and I thank you and your team for making the effort to help me and my friend look for transportation. - Loved the whole experience, especially being involved in the inflation/deflation of the balloon, this made us feel part of the crew and useful rather than just passive passengers. - Dear Damien, I wanted to write and let you know what a fantastic birthday I had this year when my husband surprised me with a ballooning trip with you guys. It was by far one of the best experiences of our lives, we both absolutely loved it and haven't stopped raving about it yet. I have had a lot of people say to me that it would be too scary but I can't even explain to them what it was like as I had absolutely no fear at all which I didn't expect and not once did I feel or even think that I was in any danger. I would like to congratulate you and your company for a fantastic adventure and your expertise and professionalism on the day was superb. I have enclosed a coup of a DVD the we made of our photos which I wanted to share with you to show you how much we loved it. We are recommending you to every person we talk to, I think everyone should ride in hot air balloon. From booking the flight to the champagne breakfast we found all your staff most helpful, professional and personable. - Dear Sir, On the 11th July 2005 I went hot air ballooning with your company. This was my third flight, the others being at Mareeba (near Cairns) and Alice Springs. I was very pleased to find my Northam experience was equally good if not better than my earlier flights. - Its now Monday and I am back in my office after having
the greatest
time in your balloon last Saturday morning. It was a tremendously
thrilling
and unique experience. My partner Judy and I were on a high all
weekend.
The Pilot, Damien and the other staff could not do enough for us -
excellent
customer service and nothing was too much trouble. They provided great
reassurance to the clients who were a little bit apprehensive prior to
take-off. We need not have worried though as the team's totally
professional
approach soon had us all relaxed and assured. I would
thoroughly
recommend this activity to anyone. Thanks for providing us
with a
great mornings flight.
